Course content:
    Computers and Lexicography
          Days 1-3: perl, regular expressions, probability theory,
information theory,
                          word frequency distributions, information
retrieval
          Day 4: seminar on Dictionary Writing Systems, with systems
from three major
                          dictionary publishers presented and discussed

    Corpus Design and Use
           Issues in Corpus Design: size, representativeness, sample sizes
           Collecting corpus texts: sources, copyright, text format,
data capture
           Text type information for lexicography and linguistics
           Corpus query programs: desiderata, available and
shortly-available software
           Methods and measures for comparing corpora
           Corpora from the web
