                          NEXING CORPUS
        Corpus of verbal interactions on syllogistic reasoning



We are pleased to announce the release 1.0 of the NEXING CORPUS
and would like to kindly invite you to visit it by going to
http://www.di.fc.ul.pt/~ahb/nexing.htm  and then following the link
"Nexing Corpus" on the left.

The NEXING CORPUS is the first of its kind. It includes:
(i) a collection of written transcriptions of  verbal data elicited
during an experiment on syllogistic reasoning (in Portuguese); and
(ii) performance data concerning that experiment, such as latencies,
confidence levels and accuracy of answers provided.

It can be of interest for researchers working on Cognitive Science,
Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing,
Linguistics or Philosophy, or in multidisciplinary overlaps of these
disciplines.

The corpus and its documentation is freely available for download at
the site referred to above.

The NEXING CORPUS was developed in the scope of the activities of the
Nexing project, funded by theFCT-Foundation for Science and Technology
of the MCT-Portuguese Ministry of Science and Technology under the
contract FCT/SAPIENS99/34076/99.
