The Sonderforschungsbereich "Mehrsprachigkeit" (special research centre on
multilingualism) at the University of Hamburg
(http://www.rrz.uni-hamburg.de/SFB538/)) is looking for a research assistant
to assist in the

                    DEVELOPMENT OF A RELATIONAL DATABASE OF MULTILINGUAL
SPOKEN DISCOURSE

on the basis of XML coded transcriptions of spoken discourse. This is a two
year contract.
The succesful applicant is expected to have a university degree in computer
linguistics or computer science. Experience with

- relational database managment (SQL)
- web-based interfaces for databases (PHP, ASP or similar)
- XML (SAX, XSLT)
- JAVA (Swing, JDBC)
