Dear all

WordSmith Tools 4 is coming out but hasn't yet been officially launched by
OUP. In other words they aren't selling it at all, yet.

You can already get hold of a beta copy, from my website. This has a full
registration code which will give you some weeks' use of it. I am busy on
it and am planning to put up a new version in a couple of days, and suggest
you wait until you see that the version numbers are up to 4.0.0.10 or
greater. Every new version gives a further few weeks of registration code.

When it is launched, no doubt OUP & I will agree on the price and any
update-from-version 3 details but that is still for the future.

Sorry about the delay. It's a big job. Complete re-write.

Best wishes -- Mike Scott

(Incidentally, OUP offices world-wide often give out misleading or
incorrect information about WordSmith, whatever version: the ones who can
be relied on are the people in Oxford, UK:
