Position Overview:

Unveil Technologies has a job opening for a software engineer in the
research and development team focused on the Meaning Recognition Engine
(MRE) - the unique natural language processing technology of the Unveil
conversational system.


Duties and Responsibilities:

The MRE/NLP software engineer will be responsible for maintenance and
improvements to the existing MRE and associated tools, as well as for
efficient integration of the MRE into Unveil products. The work includes
participation in the analysis, design, implementation and testing of the
Unveil's proprietary natural language processing engine, and the
construction and maintenance of lexicons and other linguistic resources.
Attention to code efficiency and high standards of software engineering
are required.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Excellent skills in Java and C++. Some experience with Perl and C# is
also useful.
* Ability to solve problems with minimal supervision, and to
constructively contribute to the research and development objectives as
part of a team.
* Experience in natural language processing or linguistics is a plus.


Credentials and Experience:
* BS or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering. 
* Masters degree or equivalent in Natural Language Processing or a
related area is preferred.
* 5+ years professional software engineering experience. 
* Experience in development of Windows applications and GUI.
* Experience in successful high-technology startups is a plus.
