I don't know any free derivational analyser for French, but you should

(I don't know if they are on this list.)

Fiametta has a nive and free morphological analyser written en Perl,
which can be downloaded from her page. It does only inflection, though,
but both of them have worked on derivation, and I am sure they will be
able to give you the right tips.
