on Chinese Information Processing and
Intelligent Human-Machine Interface Technology
Date: September 20-22,2005
Tasks: Machine Translation
Chinese Information Retrieval
Chinese Speech Recognition
Website: http://www.863data.org.cn or http://159.226.39.41
The HTRDP Chinese Information Processing and Intelligent Human-Machine
Interface Technology Evaluation, which is sponsored by National High
Technology Research and Development Program (HTRDP, also called "863"
Program), is composed of a series of evaluation activities. Its purpose
is to provide the infrastructural support for research and development
on Chinese information processing and intelligent human-machine
interface technologies, to enhance communication among industry,
academia and government, and to speed up the transfer of technologies
from promising ideas to commercial products. In the 2005 Evaluation,
three technologies will be evaluated:
Machine Translation
Chinese Information Retrieval
Chinese Speech Recognition
The 2005 Evaluation will be held in late September. All evaluation data
are delivered via the Internet or post. Participants perform the tasks
using their own computers. Within one month after the submission of
results, evaluation results will be sent to each participant via e-mail.
HTRDP sponsors a follow-up evaluation workshop, which will be held in
November.
Participation in the 2005 Evaluation is invited for all researchers who
find the evaluation and the tasks of interest. For more information,
