Dear All,
I am looking for the list of 80 words with synonym candidates from the
TOEFL test that has become a standard benchmark for the evaluation of
semantic similarity models,
used, for example, in:
Landauer, T., & Dumais, S. (1997). A solution to plato’s problem: The
latent semantic analysis theory of acquisition, induction and
representation of knowledge. Psychological Review, 104 (2), 211–240.
Rapp, R. (2003). Word sense discovery based on sense descriptor
dissimilarity. In Proceedings of MT Summit IX, 315–322.
Turney, P. (2001). Mining the Web for synonyms: PMI–IR versus LSA on TOEFL.
Lecture Notes in Computer Science 2167, 491–502.
Sahlgren, M. (2006.). The word-space model: Using distributional analysis
to represent syntagmatic and paradigmatic relations between words in
high-dimensional vector spaces. PhD. dissertation, Stockholm University.
Any hint on how to track down the list would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Marco
