Dear Gloria,

You'll find a BNC World word list on Mike Scott's homepage: http://www.lexically.net/downloads/version4/downloading%20BNC.htm. It definitely works with version 4.0, not sure about 3.0.

I am looking for a BNC word list in a format which can be read with Wordsmith
tools 3. Do you know if I can find such a word list or how can I create
one?

Does sketch engine allow the creation of such a list?
