[Corpora-List] Planarity in dependency parsing

Hi all,

Although my doubt does not exactly suit in this mailing list, I would like
to know why planarity (projectivity) is required for dependency parsing?
Many sentences of languages such as German, Hindi are not planar. Does this
mean that dependency based parsing is not suitable for these languages?
