Dear colleague,

Do you wish it would be easier to find Swedish language resources to =20
use in research, applications or for educational purposes? You can =20
contribute to this by answering a questionnaire.

Research and development of language technology systems needs an =20
infrastructure of publicly available and standardized basic resources. =20
Such resources have to be created for each language separately. For =20
Swedish, there are several resources, but it is unclear what type they =20
are of, and to what degree they are available. Therefore, we need to =20
make an inventory and describe the existing language resources and how =20
they are used. Also, it is necessary to survey the need of such =20
resources for future development.

For the survey of language resources and need, we would like to ask =20
you to answer a questionnaire. You can do that on the Internet
http://www.speech.kth.se/prod/blark/blark_en.php or in a text file =20
downloadable from the same address. There is a Swedish and an English =20
version. We would like your answer as soon as possible, but before May =20
31, 2007 if your answers are to be included in the overview. To make =20
the inventory as useful as possible, it is of great importance that =20
everybody who works with Swedish language technology participate in =20
the inventory process.
