You might also find a relevant chapter in Corpus Linguistics and the Web - Douglas Biber and Jerry Kurijian: Towards a taxonomy of web registers and text types: a multidimensional analysis. They have employed a sightly different approach, using factor and cluster analysis in the classification of web genres.

I have been doing some research on genre classification. A web page collection and the features I used for automatic classification can be found here: http://www.cis.uni-muenchen.de/~andrea/
The collection is not only covering internet genres, but also includes the classic ones.
