Informatics: Research Fellow

The EU FP6 project Euromatrix aims to develop machine translation
systems for all pairs of official EU languages. At Edinburgh
University, we focus on the development of statistical methods for
machine translation and the integration of linguistic knowledge into
statistical models.

You will have recently received an Msc or Bsc, and have some
experience in statistical machine translation or data-driven methods
in natural language processing. You will have strong programming
skills in languages such as C++, Java, or Perl, a willingness to
collaborate with students and researchers, and preferably, experience
in developing systems that involve large amounts of data, web
applications, and text processing.
