[Corpora-List] user feedback wanted on new MICASE interface...

Dear all, 
 
Earlier this summer, Annelie Ädel announced on this list the launch of the
new online search interface of the Michigan Corpus of Academic Spoken
English (MICASE). MICASE is a corpus of more than 1.7 million words of
transcribed speech from a wide range of settings (152 events and almost 200
hours of recordings altogether) from different academic disciplines recorded
at the University of Michigan. MICASE speech events include lectures, lab
sections, seminars, advising sessions, and dissertation defenses. 
 
We would now like to hear from anyone who has used the new MICASE online
interface (accessible at http://quod.lib.umich.edu/m/micase/) and get
feedback on the user-friendliness and functionality of the site (functions
that you like or don't like, additional functions you would like to
have...). What we would also like to know is what you use MICASE online for,
whether you use it in your teaching (in teaching linguistics? in teaching
English for Academic Purposes?), whether you use it with your students in
class or introduce (EAP) learners to working with the corpus independently,
and whether you make use of the sound files that are freely accessible
online at http://www.lsa.umich.edu/eli/micase/Audio/index.htm (a different
set of audio files, about 85 hours of recording on 9 CDs, are available for
purchase -- see http://www.lsa.umich.edu/eli/micase/orderaudio.htm).
