[Corpora-List] Scanner/OCR software recommendations

Hi,

We are involved in a project that entails digitizing a large number 
of reading textbooks. We will discard images, tables, figures, etc., 
and hope to keep manual editing of the text itself to the 
minimum. We'd appreciate it greatly if someone with similar 
experience could recommend some quality scanner/OCR software.
