[Corpora-List] Review of applications of tagged Brown / Penn Treebank?

Can anyone point me at a survey of applications of the Tagged Brown Corpus 
and/or Penn Treebank, and/or uses for other PoS-tagged or parsed corpora?

e.g. scholar.google.com reports about 4,530 hits for "Brown corpus" ,
about 5,420 for "Penn treebank" and "Cited by 2257" for:

Marcus et al 1993 "Building a large annotated corpus of English: the
penn treebank" Computational Linguistics

I'm particularly interested in any work which used both the original Brown
tagset and the revised Penn tagset with the Brown texts, to see whcih
tagging produced better results for their application
