[Corpora-List] Best dictionary to use?

Hi,

I'm looking to automatically query for definitions of words. Can you
please suggest some dictionaries I can use? My only requirements are
that the dictionary is free, and something I can download and query
from an already-existing Java/Python program. I've been using Wordnet
and its glosses thus far, but I'm looking for an additional resource.

Also, I was told to take a look at WordWeb -- has any one had any
experience with it?
