Reference Systems Controller, ELT
Salary: £23,127 ? £25,272 p.a.

You will play a key role in supporting reference product development and 
the maintenance of our dictionary and corpus systems. Reporting to the 
Reference Systems Manager, you will primarily be involved in the delivery 
of dictionary content for a range of purposes, either processing XML data 
directly or co-ordinating work with external suppliers. You will also be 
responsible for system training and upgrades. 

You should hold a degree in a technical discipline and be proficient in 
XML, XSLT and a scripting language such as Perl or Python. You should be a 
fast learner with an organised mind and excellent attention to detail. 
Experience of working with dictionary data or other highly structured data 
is not essential, but would be advantageous; more important is an interest 
in the English language and dictionaries.
