The Research Group in Computational Linguistics at the University of Wolverhampton is an internationally recognised centre in Natural Language Processing. A fast-growing team, it provides expertise in a broad variety of NLP areas such as coreference resolution, question answering, document summarisation, information extraction, and multiple-choice question processing. We are seeking a Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow to work on the subject of automatic multiple-choice question processing (MCQ) at the Research Group in Computational Linguistics (http://clg.wlv.ac.uk/). The post is available immediately and for a duration of two years. You will play an important part in a growing team of Researchers who work on the subject of automatic MCQ processing (which includes MCQ analysis and generation).

You should possess a PhD in Computational Linguistics / Computer Science or have equivalent experience. You should have knowledge of Natural Language Processing techniques and programming, have a good publication record and familiarity with writing research proposals. Exposure to medical texts, experience in working on industrial projects and developing three-tier applications are also desirable. You should be well-organised, have the ability to meet deadlines and display good self-management.
