Dear Dimitrios,

Thank you for having taken the time to create this wonderful web site for your students and colleagues. I know how time-consuming it can be so congratulations are definitely in order. You may also be interested in taking a look some time at some of the links below which I have either given to my students or browsed myself with regard to ESL/EFL and my freshman comp. classes. A few of the homepages may give you some ideas of what you might like add to your web site too.

http://owl.english.purdue.edu/
http://iteslj.org/links/
http://www.business-spotlight.de/skills/
http://www.onestopenglish.com/
http://www.developingteachers.com/
http://www.yourdictionary.com/
http://the_english_dept.tripod.com/teachers.html

A note of caution regarding the copied and pasted ones below is that I haven't checked them out in about a year or so, consequently I don't know if they still exist.

http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Aegean/6720/
(1,000 idiomatic expressions with definitions and quizzes)
http://www.betteraccent.com/ (pronunciation-you'll need to download the demo to see if you want to buy it-not very expensive at all)
http://www.webfoot.com/advice/email.sig.html How to write good e-mails
http://www.americaslibrary.gov/about/welcome.html ( read some very short stories about North American history, legends etc.
http://www.nytimes.com/ (Read the N.Y. Times -by registering you can have it 'delivered' every day)
http://www.short-stories.co.uk/ (read some short stories)

And finally, though it is quite old (from 1995-96 and note that my picture is also just as old!) is a website I made for EFL/ESL teachers. I haven't updated it at all, and frankly, never intend to. A few of the links on the homepage no longer work, but who knows, some of the books listed may still be in use. Please do not feel at all obliged to add it to you site.

Hope this is of some small use.
Kindest regards,
Linda

Subject: [Corpora-List] Comments about englishsupport.info

Hi all,
I have created a website named www.englishsupport.info which I want to be a useful tool for teachers and students of the english as a second language . It has links to other educational sites but I would like your comments on how it should be more practical or if I should add sth.
Thank you in advance,
Best wishes
