The Registry of Latin American Researchers in Natural Language
Processing and Computational Linguistics is now six (??!!) years old
(founded Nov 23, 2002). The site has grown to include nearly 250
researchers who are living in or originally from Latin America, and
remains (hopefully) quite interesting and current. Please pay a
visit....

I recently emailed all the current members of the registry, asking
that they update their information if they haven't in a while. If you
think you are a member and didn't get that note, please check the site
and update your info as we may have lost touch with you due to changes
in email addresses, etc.

Whether you are from Latin America or not, please stop by and visit
the site. You are welcome to browse around, and there is also a
bulletin board facility that anyone can use to post messages, make
announcements, etc.

A bit of background...

The objective of the Registry is to provide a centralized source of
information for and about students, professors, researchers,
practitioners, etc. in Natural Language Processing and Computational
Linguistics who currently reside in or are originally from Latin
America. If this describes you, please take a moment to register.

Finally, please pass this information along to anyone you think might
be interested - this might include those who would consider
registering, or someone from another region seeking collaborators, or
anyone just curious about what is going on in that part of the world!

Please let us know of any questions or concerns.

Cordially,
Ted
