[Corpora-List] CLEF-IP evaluation campaign - call for participation

Evaluating information retrieval techniques in the Intellectual Property
domain.
 

The organizers of the newly established CLEF-IP track would like to
invite you to participate in the 2009 evaluation campaign!
 
The new Intellectual Property track within the Cross-Language Evaluation
Forum has two main goals
- the creation of a large test collection of multi-lingual European
patents
- the evaluation of retrieval techniques in the patents domain 
 
The track will focus on the task of prior art search.
Participation in the track requires no manual relevance assessments.
Participants are just invited to apply their retrieval method of
preference for a given set of topics and submit their results. A subset
of the resulting collection will be double-checked by Intellectual
Property search professionals.
 
The track will utilize a collection of >1M patent documents in English
French and German in XML format.
