[Corpora-List] "Phrases in English" is back / moving

Hello all,

After a three-week absence "Phrases in English" interface to the British
National Corpus data is back online.  Access to my databases was blocked by
institutional security measures implemented in early August, while I was on
leave.  Thanks for your patience to all who have written me.

Rather than comply with the more rigid security measures I decided to set up
an independent server.  I am now moving the site to a server near Munich,
which should improve performance for European users.  There may be some
delays and outages while I am learning to administer the new server and
rebuilding databases and scripts.  

Within a few days http://phrasesinenglish.org will point to the new site.
Meanwhile

will get you there directly.

One new feature:  an advanced search interface at
http://178.63.122.132/PIE/searchBNC.html
which supports a variety of match modes (exact form / lemma, phrase,
Boolean, any / all, proximity etc.) and filtering by text-types.  More on
these features when the site move and integration are complete.

Feedback on the changes and on unexpected glitches is strongly encouraged!
