[Corpora-List] Job: Post-Doctoral Positions in Information Extraction, City University of New York

We are seeking to hire two post-doctoral research associates in 
Information Extraction to join the BLENDER Lab 
(http://nlp.cs.qc.cuny.edu/) at Computer Science Department, Graduate 
Center and Queens College, City University of New York. The projects are 
funded by the U.S. Army Research Lab and National Science Foundation, with 
research focus on Cross-document Cross-lingual Cross-media Information 
Extraction and Tracking. Annual salary ranges from $40,000-$50,000, 
dependent on previous work experience. The positions are full-time, to be 
filled as quickly as possible. The duration of the contract will be 1-5 
years.

Requirements:
* PhD degree in computational linguistics/language technology or related 
fields in computer science (by May 2010)
* necessary: good proficiency in statistics and machine learning 
methodologies
* desired: solid information extraction research experience, and have an 
excellent research profile (publication record); good management and 
coordination skills of research projects
* excellent programming skills (necessarily C++ and Java; Python, Perl, 
etc. advantageous)
