[Corpora-List] PhD positions in NLP / CL at UKP Lab, Darmstadt, Germany

UKP Lab offers several PhD positions starting in 2011.
The scholarship includes PhD research within the newly established LOEWE research center "Digital Humanities". The thesis topic should be pertinent to the research profile of the corresponding LOEWE subproject. Besides project work, the position offers the possibility of scientific qualification and training. The scholarship is EUR 1400 per month.
We are seeking qualified candidates with an excellent university degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or in a related field, preferably with the knowledge of German. The candidates should be willing to perform cutting-edge research in the following domains (related high-quality proposals are welcome):
- Statistical semantics, e.g. machine learning and lexical semantic methods
for analyzing unstructured texts;
- Discourse analysis, i.e. a computational linguistic analysis of the discussion
pages and community processes in Wikipedia
- Collaborative text genesis, i.e. a computational linguistic analysis of the
revision pages and community processes in Wikipedia.
