Mark Davies has produced a list of the 20'000 most common lemmas in
Spanish derived from his Corpus del Español. It is available from him
at corpus at byu.edu, and the top 5'000 lemmas were collected in the
Routledge Frequency Dictionary of Spanish.

Ramón Almela, Pascual Cantos, Aquilino Sánchez, Ramón Sarmiento and
Moisés Almela have a comparable project, Frecuencias del Español.
