[Corpora-List] free collocate clouds summary

We've had a student (Dave Gullick) working on this over the summer. The resulting tool is called CONE (Collocation Network Explorer) and is now available for download from:

 

http://code.google.com/p/collocation-network-explorer/

 

It allows you to explore collocation links between words in an indexed corpus. We've got a journal paper under review about an earlier version of the tool, so I can send that off list if you're interested.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my question re free collocate cloud tools. Here is a summary:

Barbara Plank, Lynne Flowerdew, Loic Barrault and Eric Atwell suggested http://www.wordle.net/ - works with text and, in the advanced mode, with weighted frequencies. It's very easy to use.

Sussi Olsen suggested http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/wordcloud for texts.

David Beaven said word clouds can be extracted from the the BNC and the Scottish corpus using:
