Hello to all,
first of all, my apologies for this message. I need to inform as many people as possible in the academic community about the inappropriate behavior of the Linguistics and Education journal, via the Elsevier dababase.
These editors accepted my paper in 2007 with major revisions, which I made and returned in 2008. The paper was then left in the database, completely unattended. As they had not returned any answers by 2009, I asked (probably five times or more) if it had finally been rejected. They produced no answer...ever, Not even a yes or no.
Now, four years later, they have withdrawn the paper without any comments or explanations.
Please I apologize for this message but I thought that you should know in advance, especially if you are considering to publish in the journal.
