[Corpora-List] Text summarization

I don't have much information about this field but I want to know if Text Mining algorithms are helpful in this regard?

Dear fellows,
 

We are interested in building a text-summarization system which could generate a research paper from a thesis. We’re primarily interested in Arabic language generation, but would like to benefit from any prior work in this area, particularly, in English, for example. 
 
Any suggestions?
