The Linguistics Department at  Université Paris Diderot   invites  
candidates for a full professor position  in the area of  Experimental  
Phonetics.

The candidate should have experience in teaching and research in  
Phonetics. S/he should already hold a tenured professor position or    
be registered on the
French national qualification lists before October 27th 2011.

S/he should have expertise in experimental phonetics (acoustic and  
articulatory) and will be responsible for a research program combining  
phonetics with another linguistic domain such as  phonology,  
morphology, syntax, semantics or discourse. A specialization in  
prosody or sizable spoken corpora will be a plus.

S/he will become a member of the research team Clillac-Arp (http://phon.linguist.univ-paris-diderot.fr/ 
)
or of the  Laboratoire de Linguistique formelle (CNRS http://www.llf.cnrs.fr/) 
.

S/he may become a member of the 10 year project  LabEx Empirical  
Foundations of Linguistics http://www.labex-efl.org

S/he will  teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Linguistics  
department http://www.linguist.univ-paris-diderot.fr/.
S/he will be in charge of the Experimental Phonetics curriculum in the  
Linguistics Masters and Phd Program http://www.linguist.univ-paris-diderot.fr/ed.html

This is a permanent  life time position with the status of a civil  
servant . S/he will be paid in accordance with the French state  
regulated public
service salary scale.
