The University of Caen Basse-Normandie (Caen, France) is recruiting a
Permanent Full Professor in the field of Human Language Technology for
the academic year 2013/2014.

The successful candidate will have to demonstrate top level
international competence in one or more of the following areas:
Information Retrieval, Text Mining, Textual Knowledge Extraction,
Machine Translation, Text Summarization and other related fields.

The candidate will be part of the team, "Human Language Technology"
(HULTECH) from the Research Laboratory "Computer Science, Image,
Automation and Instrumentation of Caen" (GREYC) affiliated
to the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).

The candidate will be required to stimulate, lead and participate in the
internationalization and the excellence of the team, which consists of
14 researchers. HULTECH is a new team, which main objectives are to
quickly acquire international recognition and research excellence in
the broad area of Human Language Technology.

In HULTECH, the candidate will find a young and dynamic environment
orientating its research around key themes such as personalization,
collaboration, accessibility, adaptivity and ubiquity of Human Language
applications in heterogeneous multilingual environments such as the Web
or social networks.

This position also aims to strengthen the area of Human Language
Technology at the Department of Computer Science of the University of
Caen Basse-Normandie. Within this context, the candidate will be
required to participate actively to the success the new Master in “Image
and Text” in which many modules will have to be ensured.

L'Université de Caen Basse-Normandie recrute un Professeur des
Universités section 27 dans le domaine de la Technologie du Langage
Humain pour la rentrée universitaire 2013/2014.

Le candidat devra démontrer une compétence renforcée de haut niveau
dans l’un ou plusieurs des domaines suivants : Recherche d’Information,
Traduction Automatique, Fouille de Textes, Extraction de Connaissances,
Résumé de Textes, entre autres.

Le candidat sera intégré à l’équipe Technologie du Langage Humain
(HULTECH) au sein du laboratoire Groupe de Recherche en Informatique,
Image, Automatique et Instrumentation de Caen (GREYC - UMR 6072 CNRS).

Le candidat sera amené à dynamiser, diriger et participer à
l’internationalisation et l’excellence de l’équipe HULTECH composée de
13 Maîtres de Conférences ou Chargés de Recherche permanents et d’un
Professeur des Universités récemment recruté. HULTECH s’appuie sur un
acquis reconnu nationalement et internationalement dans le domaine du
Document Numérique, de l’Ingénierie Documentaire, du Traitement
Automatique des Langues, de l'Extraction des Connaissances Textuelles,
des Interfaces Homme-Machine et de la Recherche d'information
Multimédia.

A HULTECH, le candidat trouvera un environnement jeune et dynamique
orientant sa recherche autour de thèmes porteurs comme la
personnalisation, la collaboration, l’accessibilité, l’adaptabilité et
l’ubiquité d’applications du langage humain dans des environnements
numériques hétérogènes multilingues tels que la toile ou les réseaux
sociaux.

Ce poste vise également à renforcer la thématique des Technologies du
Langage Humain dans le dispositif d’enseignement du Département
Informatique de l’UFR Sciences de l’Université de Caen Basse-Normandie.
Dans ce cadre, le candidat sera amené à participer activement au succès
du nouveau Master IMALANG (dont la première édition commencera à la
rentrée 2012/2013) dans lequel de nombreux modules devront être
assurés.
