*About this job:*

Globalization Technology Manager will be responsible for the current and
future implementations and support of globalization technology tools and
processes. Oversees change management activities driven by various types of
change orders. Implements globally aligned processes to produce consistent,
predictable results.

Identifies and recommends process improvements to increase efficiency and
effectiveness. Builds relationships and communicates change requirements
cross functionally inside and outside EMC. Leads teams in program and
process development through planning and implementation activities.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides strategy for optimizing and streamlining the globalization
technology and processes that are currently implemented at EMC. Provides
strategy and direction for the evolution of EMC’s globalization platform,
tools and processes,
• Explores and maintains network of globalization technology industry
experts and identifies areas of improvement and evolution for EMC.
• Manages key business and technical operations activities across global
teams. Ensures change management process is adhered to globally. Strives
for continuous process improvement.
• Manages a team of individual contributors with accountability for global
process consistency and change management execution. Engages directly to
resolve issues as needed. Develops business capabilities necessary to
execute change management activities.
• Provides strategic direction and cross-functional communication globally
on the subject of globalization technology and processes. Drives results
and timeliness of execution in compliance with service level agreements.
• Identifies, defines and reports on metrics of success and the continuous
improvement of key performance indicators. Creates and maintains standard
reports, applications, query tools, forms, templates, and checklists
required to execute change management activities.
• Integrates planning efforts across different organizations within the
company and ensures alignment of group goals with those of the overall
business. Acts as the Global representative for the change management
process to all other functions and divisions.
• Contributes to the development and execution of tools and systems that
drive consistency and promote efficiency in managing activities within the
business. Participates in project/initiative prioritization processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Skills:

• Ability to lead, motivate and direct a workgroup.
• Ability to influence others to achieve results.
• Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables.
• Ability to work effectively with senior management.
• Project management skills. PMP certification a plus.
• Working knowledge, experience, and expertise with translation and
terminology management
• Working knowledge, experience, and expertise with translation automation
• Some knowledge, experience, and expertise with automatic speech
recognition
• Good knowledge of the trends and new developments of Globalization
Technology subject
matter.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Education: Masters (Technical)

Experience: Requires at least 10 years of professional experience in the
globalization technology and localization and 3+ years of team lead and/or
management experience.
