Dear Kiran,

It depends what you mean by boosting words - is it a general category of intensification, is it just intensifiers in the more specific syntactic sense, or is it the specific subcategory of intensifiers, to be distinguished from Maximizers, Minimizers, etc.

Anyway, Gunter Lorenz (1999). Adjective Intensification - Learner versus Native Speaker. Amsterdam [etc.]: Rodopi provides a brilliant introduction to the category (in two latter senses), including pretty exhaustive lists. You may also want to contact him directly, perhaps he can provide electronic versions of the lists.
