[Corpora-List] Postdoctoral Researcher position available - Natural Language Processing for the Web of Data

The Unit for Natural Language Processing (http://nlp.deri.ie/) at the 
Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI) of the National University 
of Ireland, Galway invites applications for a postdoctoral position on 
Natural Language Processing for the Web of Data. Candidates should have 
a PhD degree in a relevant field of study with an emphasis on areas such 
as semantics and information extraction. The selected candidate will be 
expected to combine formal scientific work with application-oriented 
research and development in EU and/or nationally funded projects. The 
fixed term contract position is for a period of 12 months with the 
possibility of extension, depending on successful acquisition of project 
funding.

Essential skills
- PhD in the area of Natural Language Processing or Computational 
Linguistics
- Research focus on semantics and information extraction
- Experience with Linked Data, Semantic Web technologies

Desirable skills
- Record of published research in international conferences and/or journals
- Experience in cross-disciplinary research
- Experience in the preparation of research grant proposals

DERI Unit for Natural Language Processing has a focus on applied 
research in ontology-based information extraction, semantic-level text 
mining and the use of linguistic and semantic methods in information 
retrieval.

Salary: €38k-€46k per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
