applications for a full-time, fixed term postdoctoral research
position in its machine translation group.

We are seeking researchers interested in all aspects of statistical
machine translation. Special consideration will be given to applicants
interested in applying statistical machine translation to advance
computer aided translation, syntax-based statistical machine
translation models, machine learning approaches to statistical machine
translation and dealing with large amounts of training data.

You will work closely with other members of the machine translation
group, especially Philipp Koehn and Miles Osborne, as well as the
larger world-class natural language researchers at the School of
Informatics.

You should have a strong NLP background with a track record of
top-tier research publications. A PhD in computer science (or near
completion) and strong organisational and coordination skills are a
must. In addition to pursuing original research in machine
translation, you will collaborate with other researchers, assist with
the supervision of PhD students, and be involved in the co-ordination
of funded research projects.

This post is fixed term until the 31st of January 2015 with
possibility of extension.
