[Corpora-List] Varitext Corpus Online

The Varitext project, jointly led by the Institute of Romance languages,  literatures and cultures at Cologne University and the UMR LDI at Université Paris 13, is aimed at all researchers and students interested in the corpus-based study of national varieties of a number of languages, including French. It provides the academic community with a platform for analysis which, apart from concordancing, allows the calculation of collocational and colligational strength on the basis of various statistical measures.

The documents held in the Varitext database under the designation ‘Corpus des variétés nationales du français’ provide wide coverage of francophone Africa and Europe. They are currently available at the following addresses:http://syrah.uni-koeln.de/varitext (ILRC) and http://extranet-ldi.univ-paris13.fr/varitext/ (LDI).
