Research Associate in Domain Adaptation for Natural Language Understanding

The School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh invites  
applications for a full-time, fixed term Research Associate position  
on the project S-CASE: Scaffolding Scalable Software Services, funded  
by the European Commission Seventh Framework Programme.

The successful candidate should have, or be near completion of, a PhD  
in artificial intelligence, computer science, or a related discipline.  
He or she should have strong programming skills and a background in  
natural language processing (both rule-based and statistical) and  
computational semantics. Knowledge of categorial grammar and semantic  
web technologies is desirable. The post is available from 1 November  
2013 or as soon as possible thereafter.
