[Corpora-List] Job @ Altissia (Belgium): Linguistic & Pedagogical Director

ALTISSIA, a leading global player in distance language learning, is looking for a passionate Linguistic & Pedagogical Director who will be responsible for the pedagogical and linguistic development of the company.

You will be responsible for Altissia’s linguistic strategy and vision.  You will represent its pedagogical credibility and reputation. In this respect, you must be able to guarantee the academic foundation of every project.

You will manage the internal linguistic staff and a team of external freelance professionals. Your department is subdivided into 2 main areas: content development and content edition.

LOCATION

Headquarter in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  *   Supervising the daily operations of the Linguistic Department
  *   Participating in Altissia’s development strategy by being an active member of the Steering Committee
  *   Coordinating planning & content needs with the project development team
  *   Coordinating day-to-day planning, budget & timing of projects with the IT Manager
  *   Managing the internal linguistic staff and the linguistic budget
  *   Ensuring efficient collaboration between internal and external staff
  *   Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of validated projects
  *   Monitoring the technological and pedagogical evolution of the market
  *   Documenting the academic foundation of every project

REQUIREMENTS

  *   PHD in Linguistics or in Natural Language Processing, or Master in Linguistics with Postgraduate degree
  *   7+  years of project & team coordination in the linguistic field (or similar)
  *   Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  *   Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  *   Committed to delivering client-focused solutions based on customer (external and internal) needs
  *   Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  *   Excellent verbal and written communications skills
