Samsung R&D Institute Poland invites young researchers, postdocs, and
students (all levels) to participate in Samsung Young Researchers Symposium
in the area of human language technologies. This event will take place on 18
September 2014 in Warsaw, Poland, and will be co-located with the PolTAL
conference (see http://poltal.ipipan.waw.pl for more details).

The Symposium is a great opportunity to present your research and early
results and to receive feedback from the audience comprising academics and
industry engineers. The author of the best presentation (voted by the
audience) will be awarded a Galaxy smartphone.

This event will also be a chance to meet and talk to researchers and
engineers who work day-to-day on human language technologies including, but
not limited to, machine translation, automatic speech recognition, speech
synthesis, dialogue agents, text mining, sentiment analysis, handwriting
recognition, finite methods, language modelling, and big data.

SUBMISSION

In order to participate in the event, you are asked to submit a long
abstract (up to four A4 pages plus references) describing your research and
results in the area of human language technologies. The abstract must be
written in English, indicate its author, and be concluded with 2-5
questions to the audience. Your abstract and questions will be displayed in
the workshop conference room before the event to allow the audience to
learn about your research and think about your questions before coming to
your presentation.

To submit your work, please send an email to aigroup at samsung.com. The
subject line should read “Submission to Samsung HLT Feedback Session:
[lastname firstname]”. Attach your abstract as a PDF file. Submitted
abstracts must follow the LNCS formatting specifications; see
http://poltal.ipipan.waw.pl/index.php/submission for more information.

The accepted and revised abstracts will be publicly available on the event
website (http://rd.samsung.pl/hlt/workshop). All participants will also
receive a printed copy of the abstracts.
