[Corpora-List] Research Assistant (software engineer) position in data and knowledge visualization - Galway, Ireland

The Unit for Natural Language Processing (http://nlp.deri.ie/) of the 
Insight Centre for Data Analytics (http://www.insight-centre.org/) at 
the National University of Ireland, Galway has a Research Assistant 
(software engineer) position available on data and knowledge 
visualization in the context of several projects.

In collaboration with our industrial partners, the successful applicant 
will play a key role in designing and developing user interfaces for 
knowledge presentation, exploration and discovery. The projects are 
concerned with the application and extension of our text mining platform 
Saffron (http://saffron.deri.ie/) to a variety of use cases, including 
eCommerce and news editing.

The main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Development: to develop frontend services enabling knowledge 
navigation, by use of text mining and Linked Data based technologies 
such as topic extraction, taxonomy generation, entity linking, sentiment 
analysis;
- Research: to assist in experiments at understanding usability and user 
behaviour with Saffron and other relevant tools and prototypes.
