Not sure what you mean.  You're building regex's in python's 're' 
library?  I suppose that might work--I was instead using grep, I guess 
because I thought that was what the original poster (oh--that's you) was 
asking about.

So yes, if you work in a programming language, there are lots of things 
you can do.
