POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER IN STATISTICAL NLP / MACHINE LEARNING

The School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh invites
applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position. The area of
research is unsupervised learning for natural language processing (funded
by a new EPSRC project).

The desirable skills include a working knowledge of machine learning and
natural language processing (preferably supervised or unsupervised
structure prediction and parsing for syntax and semantics). The post-doc
will be mentored by Dr Shay Cohen (http://homepages.inf.ed.ac.uk/scohen) in
a highly collaborative environment.

The contract will initially be for 12 months (starting in Fall 2014), with
a possibility for an extension. Salary range: £30,700-£36,600 per annum.
