Dear Negacy,
You may find it more efficient to use a grammar-driven annotation method.
For English, there is the English Resource Grammar is an open-source
broad-coverage, linguistically precise computational grammar which can
produce (when paired with an open-source DELPH-IN processing engine)
semantic annotations which include predicate-argument structures, as well
as information about scopal operators and partial constraints on quantifier
scope. Information about the ERG can be found here:
http://www.delph-in.net/erg/
including an online demo and links to documentation. The documentation
includes information about processing text with the ERG, as well as
information about the semantic representations it produces. There are also
treebanks (sembanks) available for a wide variety of genres produced by
parsing the text with the ERG and manually selecting the preferred parse
from the resulting parse forests. Information about these is available on
the 'Redwoods' link the sidebar of the page mentioned above.
