Hello all,
I have recently joined the CRITICS list, and I am sending this message out
in order to introduce myself.
I am a postgraduate student in the Department of History at Stirling
University, Scotland. My research interests include historiography,
particularly of the 19th century, and 17th-century political discourse in
Britain. I have recently become very interested in Discourse Analytic
approaches to the interpretation of historical writing, and have started to
use them in my academic work, although I was introduced to CDA originally by
a friend and colleague aware of my political engagements who thought that I
would find common ground with many of its practitioners, and useful material
and analytic tools for my non-academic work.
Best Regards
Mark
