Given the recent messages, this new funding source may prove useful for
critical discourse analysts studying nationalism, 'race', ethnicity and
immigration and language issues in Europe...

The 2006 Call for applications to the NORFACE Seminar Scheme has been
opened.
The seminar activities are expected to begin in September 2006. In 2007 a
further call for applications within new themes can be expected.

NORFACE is a partnership between twelve national research councils to
increase co-operation in research and research policy in Europe.
Proposals are invited under two strategically selected themes. These have
been identified by the NORFACE Network Board and are believed to display
strength across five or more countries, and to be ambitious and
multidisciplinary.

The specific 'research areas' mentioned under each theme are intended only
