Dear list members,
I am collating a volume based on the (Cognitive) Semantics and
Pragmatics in Critical Discourse Studies theme session at CADAAD 08.
However, I would like to extend the invitation for contributions beyond
the session. Papers will be published (subject to acceptance) in a
volume with working title /Critical Discourse Studies in Context and
Cognition/. It will be submitted to John Benjamin's DAPSAC series.
The volume aims to incorporate robust theory from pragmatics, social
cognition and/or cognitive linguistics in critical discourse studies.
Papers should contain theoretical and analytical dimensions but may be
weighted one way or the other. Papers should be between 5000 and 7000
words in length and must be submitted by 10 January.
Please send an abstract of no more than one page to c.j.hart at herts.ac.uk
by 1 Sept. 2008 if you are interested in contributing.
Kind regards,
Chris Hart
