Two post-doctoral positions (two years) in the Humanities

The Faculty of Arts invites applications for the Baltic Group
Postdoctoral Fellowship for the Internationalisation of the
Humanities. Two fellows will be appointed. The successful candidates
should have a PhD in hand (awarded between November 2010 and November
2013) and a well-documented international network within their area of
research.

The postdoctoral fellows will be affiliated with one of the Faculty’s
departments and are expected to conduct research within their area of
expertise, participate in the scholarly life of the host department
and the Faculty through seminars and other research activities, and
engage in networking and collaboration with a view to strengthen
internationalisation of the research milieu. It is a requirement of
the fellowship that fellows reside in Umeå.

Ranking criteria: Special importance will be given to documented
scholarly qualifications, the submitted research and
internationalisation plan, and the candidate’s international track
record.

Application: The application should contain

* A one-page cover letter summarizing the candidate’s previous
research achievements, area of interest, and reasons for applying for
the fellowship
* A  Curriculum Vitae
* A list of publications
* Certified copies of grades and degree certificates
* A research plan, including plan of internationalisation activities (5 pages)
* Contact details of two academic references.

Applications can be submitted either electronically or in hard-copy
form. All documents submitted in hard-copy form should be in
duplicate, and all electronically submitted material should be in MS
Word or PDF format.
