[Dgkl] Call for Abstracts: Workshop “Bridging the Gap: Unifying Approaches to Linguistic Evolution” (Mar 13–14, 2025)

Dear Colleagues,

We invite abstract submissions for the workshop "Bridging the Gap: Unifying Approaches to Linguistic Evolution" which aims to bring together researchers working on quantitative and computational approaches to language change and evolution at micro/macro scales, with special interest in studies that connect the two levels with a model.

We welcome contributions from scholars working with:

  *   Phylogenetic methods for language diversification and reconstruction

  *   Computational modeling of real-time language change

  *   Agent-based models of language evolution

  *   Quantitative approaches to horizontal transmission in language change

  *   Any computational methods applied to language variation and change

Abstract submission deadline is 23:59 AOE on 17 December 2024.
