Dear colleagues,
I would like to invite you to the workshop series “Linguistics Meets ChatGPT: From Prompt to Theory.”
The series explores how current AI language models process and generate language, and how they can be studied and used in linguistic and cognitive science research. Among other things, we address recent developments in AI modeling, such as the unification of analysis across written language, image, and audio at the level of tokens.
The upcoming two workshops offer a focused look at how scholars can work with AI models in practice, with particular attention to questions of representation (both in AI and in traditional science), modeling, and experimental control.
The workshops can be attended both as a block and individually.
April 27: Prompting as an Experimental Method in Linguistics
April 28: Meaning, Semantics, and Hallucination
Time: 12:00–15:00 (both days)
Place: Online (the link will be sent to registered participants only)
Registration is possible until April 26, 2026. Details are available at:
