Dear members and friends of the German Cognitive Linguistics Association
(DGKL/GCLA),

Following the highly successful International Conference of the
DGKL/GCLA in Bielefeld last week, I would like to take the opportunity
to draw your attention once again to some of the resources that our
association offers:

1. the *Yearbook of the German Cognitive Linguistics Association*,
published by De Gruyter Brill: The Yearbook brings together research
from various theoretical and methodological frameworks of Cognitive
Linguistics, broadly construed. In particular, the Yearbook aims at
offering researchers an outlet for their work at an early stage, while
maintaining the same high standards of peer review that characterize the
pertinent journals in our field. As we also invite work-in-progress
reports, the Yearbook is particularly attractive for early-career
researchers, but needless to say, submissions from established
colleagues are also more than welcome. See
https://www.dgkl-gcla.de/yearbook/ for more information.

We are currently also looking for people who would be willing to
*review* for the Yearbook once in a while. While we as editors of the
yearbook have a relatively big network and usually don't have problems
finding reviewers, there are still many people in the field that we
don't know, especially in research fields that are further away from our
own research foci. So if you would like to volunteer to review papers
for the Yearbook, we would be very happy if you let us know via this
form:
https://uni-duesseldorf.sciebo.de/apps/forms/s/wfWjyrgFHHs3jpiBqbKoH6xK
(needless to say, this is just a tentative and non-committal expression
of interest, and of course you are always free to decline review
requests if we approach you).

2. this *mailing list*: If you are organizing a conference or workshop
that is relevant to Cognitive Linguistics, or if you are advertising a
position that could be interesting for cognitive linguists, please
consider sharing it via this mailing list. You can simply send an email
to dgkl at listserv.linguistlist.org, and once it has been approved by the
moderator (the General Secretary of the GCLA), it will be distributed to
all list subscribers. If you are unsure whether or not your message is a
good fit to the mailing list, feel free to reach out to me or any other
board member beforehand; otherwise you can send the email directly to
the entire list. As a fairly large proportion of list subscribers is
international, the messages should usually be in English or include an
English version (or a short explanation in English when you are sharing
e.g. a CfP for a German-language event).

More information about the DGKL/GCLA and our activities, including our
next conference in 2028, which will be officially announced soon, can be
found on our website https://www.dgkl-gcla.de/.

Best wishes,

Stefan
